The 1 1/2" (OD 48.3mm) round was removed from a structural part of a crane that was in operation for several years, painted. The metallurgical characterization was required to repair the by . The 8 mm thick seamless tubing presented a typical - , refined and banded. The of the material is deformed and rough, probably due to the prepainting action, usually adopted to assure good painting adherence.
