Corrosion
Cathodic Protection
A -control technique that makes a metal the cathode of an electrochemical cell, either by connecting it to a more easily corroded sacrificial anode or by supplying current from an external power source, so that is driven to occur elsewhere instead of on the protected . It is widely on buried pipelines, , and hulls.
