Description

A build up repair of a steam drum presented opened at the , adjacent to . The metallurgical analysis of a small sample indicated that the cracks started from the internal drum surface, and propagated with intergranular branching morphology in the . The high hardness level of the ferritic weld metal suggests that it was not stress relieved. This condition could affect the material (SCC) resistance.
