Condition
Solution Annealing
A in which an alloy, most often an austenitic or duplex , is heated to a temperature high enough to dissolve precipitated phases back into solid solution and then rapidly cooled to keep them from reforming. It is to restore resistance and toughness that secondary-phase precipitation would otherwise degrade.
