Intergranular Cracking

Cracking that propagates along the boundaries between a material's grains rather than through the grains themselves. It is often associated with mechanisms that weaken grain boundaries specifically, such as certain forms of stress corrosion cracking, hydrogen embrittlement, or sensitization.
