Microhardness Testing
A hardness test performed with a very small indenter and load, to measure the hardness of small features — such as an individual phase, a thin , or a narrow region like a heat-affected zone — rather than the bulk average hardness of a component. Vickers and Knoop are the two most common microhardness scales.
