Floating Production Storage and Offloading

A ship-shaped or barge-like offshore vessel that processes and stores produced oil or gas before offloading it to shuttle tankers, used in some offshore fields in place of a fixed platform. Its hull and topside equipment are exposed to a demanding combination of marine and process-related degradation mechanisms.
