Microstructure
Creep Voids
Small cavities that nucleate and grow within a material during deformation, typically forming along grain boundaries and coalescing as deformation continues. Their presence in a micrograph is a diagnostic sign that a component has been subjected to prolonged loading at elevated temperature, often preceding rupture.
