Beta Phase

A high-temperature crystal phase found in and certain other alloys, distinct from the lower-temperature phase, whose relative amount and morphology after processing strongly influence the alloy's strength, ductility, and behavior. Alloys are often classified by how much beta phase they retain at room temperature.
